Local
bus services are provided
by Sunbus, who operate
from Lake Street Transit
Centre in City Place.
The buses run frequently
and until quite late.
On Friday and Saturday
nights, the main routes
north and south run
all night. Three types
of 24-hour tickets are
offered that vary in
cost depending on the
route you are taking.
The complete service
area, is from Palm Cove
to the north and Gordonvale
to the south. A 24-hour
ticket means exactly
that. The ticket is valid
from when you purchase
it until the same time
the following day. There
are also weekly tickets
for the same areas.

operate to Kuranda, the
Atherton Tablelands,
Port Douglas, Cape Tribulation
